When we imagined gathering our favorite people to celebrate this season of our lives, we knew it had to be in Highlands. This mountain town holds so many of the things we love most—scenic hikes, delicious food, good wine, and time to simply be together. We are so excited to share one of our favorite places with you and hope you’ll take this weekend as a chance to slow down, soak in the beauty of the mountains, and celebrate our love alongside family and friends.
A Note about The Farm at Old Edwards Inn:
We are sure many of you have heard about the tragic fire at The Farm at Old Edwards, a place that means so much to us and to the Highlands community. Our hearts are with everyone affected by this loss, and we are incredibly grateful for the care, resilience, and dedication of the entire Old Edwards team.
We are grateful to share that The Farm is committed to rebuilding in time for our wedding, and we are excited to move forward with our celebration as planned. We feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to celebrate in the new space and, hopefully, be among the very first couples to get married there!

Book Early & Stay Close
Highlands is a popular destination year-round, and especially beautiful—and busy—during the fall months. We strongly encourage you to book your lodging as early as possible, as hotels and vacation rentals tend to fill up quickly.
One important note for getting around: Highlands does not have Uber or Lyft. Wedding transportation will be provided to and from several nearby hotels, so we recommend prioritizing a place that is walkable to downtown Highlands.

Scenic waterfall that's only a short walk from the parking lot. Don't miss Bridal Veil Falls when in route from downtown Highlands.
Hike Whiteside Mountain
A 2-mile loop located just 10 minutes from town with breathtaking panoramic views.
Discover Glen Falls
A roughly 2.8-mile out-and-back trail, it features three main drops totaling over 600 feet and is considered one of the best waterfall hikes in the state.
Adventure to Satulah Mountain
3 mile round trip that begins right in town and winds uphill to the summit of Satulah Mountain. The climb is worth it for the beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. We hiked Satulah the morning we got engaged!
Take a Walk to Sunset Rock
Just a short walk from downtown Highlands. The trail leads to a granite overlook above town—especially beautiful around sunset.
Stroll through Highlands Botanical Garden
Enjoy a leisurely walk through beautifully maintained gardens filled with native Appalachian plants and seasonal blooms. A peaceful way to spend an afternoon surrounded by the beauty of Highlands.

Questions & Answers
When and where is the wedding?
Our wedding will take place on Saturday, October 16, 2027, at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, North Carolina. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 in the evening, followed by the reception. We recommend arriving at least 20–30 minutes before the ceremony so you have plenty of time to find your seat before the celebration begins.
What should I wear to the wedding?
Black Tie Invited. We would love for our guests to dress up and celebrate with us! Tuxedos or formal dark suits for gentlemen and floor-length gowns or formal dresses for ladies.
What should I wear to the rehearsal dinner & welcome party?
Mountain Chic Cocktail Attire. Cocktail attire with a touch of mountain elegance. As temperatures can drop in the evening, please plan to bring a layer or jacket.
Can I bring a plus-one?
We kindly ask that guests only bring a plus-one if they are specifically included on the invitation. Your invitation will indicate who is included in your guest count.
Are children invited?
Our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives our guests the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing weekend in the mountains with us!
Will transportation be provided?
Yes! Transportation will be provided to and from the wedding. More details, including pickup locations and timing, will be shared closer to the wedding.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Our ceremony will take place inside the Orchard House at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn followed by an outdoor cocktail hour in the Orchard. The reception will then take place inside the Barn and Pavillion at The Farm.
Where should I stay?
There are several wonderful places to stay throughout Highlands and the surrounding area. We recommend booking your accommodations as early as possible, especially since October is very popular time to visit Highlands.
Because Uber and Lyft are not readily available in Highlands, we recommend considering accommodations within or near town. Wedding transportation will be provided to and from select nearby hotels.

How do I RSVP?
You can RSVP online through our wedding website. Simply visit the RSVP page and enter your name as it appears on your invitation.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We kindly ask that guests keep phones and cameras tucked away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present for the moment. Our photographer and videographer will be there to capture all the special moments!
